i have a question for any LDS bandsters out there that will answer. It's about bread and the sacrament. I've heard a lot of people say they can't eat bread because it gets stuck. Has anyone had this problem? will it become an issue? I realize it's such a small piece to take in.

You should not have any issues with the sacraments at your church.

You just need to have it be the consistency of "mush" before swallowing. I'm not able to "eat" bread any longer, but the equivalent of a small bite should not be an issue for you; I can still manage communion without any problems.

Well, hello fellow LDS-er! What a great question. Here's what I suggest. Take the bread and mush that puppy up. If it doesn't get mushy enough, wait for the Water and that should take it to a liquid.

Also try to get a small, crust less piece.

You should be fine. I still take communion but bread is a " no way" although I was able to eat that thin sliced bread. I don't go there much. Good luck :)

thank you so much for your help. sunday i was still on liquids but didn't want to pass on the sacrament so i took a small piece and it went down okay but i have no Fluid in my band and my swelling had gone down. but i worry about after i get a few fills in me. i know bread swells when wet. so i thought a crust piece would have been more of a recommend.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
