I have thought about it several times...but

  1. I am too chicken to inflict pain on myself for no valid reason...LOL
  2. I shiver at the thought of being 90 years old with a tatoo
  3. I cannot imagine putting anything on my skin I wouldnt get tired of. Shoot... I change my couch every 5-8 yrs because I get tired of looking at it.
  4. I would have to find a spot that isnt sagging and that would be tough!

But more power to you... any reward is a good one!! And if that makes you happy...go for it!

Good luck on your journey.

I got one when I reached mine. I got a tattoo that maneuvered around my port to cover my incision scars.

Absolutely! You deserve it just for being on this journey. Depending on location the pain really isn't that bad.

Good Luck and let us know what you get.

I got a tatoo two years ago (at 59 yrs). My daughter made me do it

I am planning on getting another one when I reach goal as well.

I have tattoos - 7 of them. They all mean something very special to me, they each have their own story. My last one I got right after surgery when I was feeling like I finally had my life together and could start living for me. It's a butterfly with flowers around it and the quote (From Kelly Rae Roberts) "She could hardly believe all that was waiting when she finally opened her heart". I don't worry about what they will look like in 40 years; I can look back and think about the memories they hold.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
