I Did It!!!

Recommended Posts

I finally told my boyfriend the missing pieces!

He knew I was having a hiatal hernia repair, but I hadn't told him about the band. We were talking about my reluctance to stay overnight. He thought I should just to get some good rest.

He has been pre-op diet supportive and it began to feel like a lie of omission to tell everyone, but him.

His first word was "No." But he quickly started asking a few questions and it's all good. I think it really caught him off guard.

I was explaining that I 'should be' 160lbs according to the charts. I told him I dont really ever expect that exactly, but that I had a LONG way to go in that direction.

I honestly don't believe I am built to be thin or skinny. That doesn't mean I don't want to be a little less thick!

He knows I have been going hard in the gym & he knows my blood pressure/joint issues. He knows I have been lectured about when not if I developed diabetes.

It was all such a non-issue.... I feel weird about my embarrassment & defiance that kept me from telling him all this time.

I can't dwell on that now. What's done is done & I am keeping it moving!!

WTG. It's your health you're improving to be better for him, and anybody else.

Keep the faith and stay positive.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
