Can Anyone Handle Steak?

Tiny bites? Rare? Or should I not even try?

I can. very tender. small bites. In fact, I had filet mignon the other night, a simple 4 oz steak grilled with some veggies. Was good! I think that a tougher cut might have been a problem. I just know to cut the pieces really small.

Good luck!

i cannot i even tried lamb today and could not handle it

Hmmm steak is one of my fav foods. I'm hoping I can have a few bites here and there. I like it almost rare. I hope if I take out the center of filet and cut off the crust.

I can eat beef tenderloin just fine! Yum!

I did a few days ago, but it was real tender. I was scared before to try it!

I have not had a problem so far. I make sure though it's a tender cut like filet, ribeye, or flank steak and that it's cooked med rare.

Nope not me no matter how its cooked. Or what cut i talked to my dr this past week about this an he said then dont worry about eating it stick with fish an chicken. But what did i do i tried it again tonite very small bites and chewed an chewed. Yup i got stuck. It hurt so badly. I am so done with steak.

No problems what so ever. I just am not a red meat fan. Not due to moral/ethical issues; we just didn't eat it growing up (too expensive).

Granted I don't have the restriction yet that I want (3.5 ccs in my band) but I can still eat steak. As others have said I have to cut it really small and I have realized that it is pretty heavy meaning I can't even eat a whole cup of it but I have had it a couple of times since being banded. It's kinda nice that I can make it last 3 meals ;).

Steak seems to be the only thing I cannot tolerate. I tried to eat a tiny bite one time and I felt like it just sat there stuck. I didn't get sick but I was very uncomfortable all night. So I won't ever go there again!!!

me tooooooooooooooooooooo

No problems here.... Now that I had a small unfill.... Before that it was hit or miss....

No prob with small bites of steak or lamb, but it is hit or miss with ground beef. Go figure.

I have 6cc's on my band and I can eat everything I want (not that I do)...but I'm actually starting to worry...

Steak is my weakness but I have it once in a while, way too many calories.

I've been scared to try regular steak, but I have had bison steak. It is much healthier and it was very tender. I did take very small bites and didn't have a problem.
