I was banded May 24th and had one fill. I am not ready for another fill yet, I am still losing so I will wait untill things slow down before I do. Love my band, hope you are also doing great.
  3. It seems so long ago that I got that call ( surgery May 24th ) I was so excited and you know I am still excited. I am still working hard at it and some days are better than others, I would not change a thing, good luck to you. and it is way better when you follow the doc orders.
  4. you do not want to eat or dirink anything that will cause more gas, I know it is hard but follow you doc orders and you should do better. Good Luck sweetheart
  5. I did not have the pain but did have the bloatness for at least a week or more, hope it gets better if not call your doctor back. God Bless
  6. Great question but I am so past that concern, hope the younger group can help you LOL
  7. Woot Woot so happy that you are so happy
  8. I did not have to do a pre-op diet I think it depends on your weight before surgery.
  9. way to go I wish you very best God Bless
  10. For new bandsters, I posted this in post op but thought it would be better in pre-op. While reading some of the posts in the last few weeks I have read that some people are under the perception that doctors do not put any Fluid in the band at surgery. . I did ask this question at the hospital after surgery and was told by a nurse that they do not usually do that at the time of surgery. When I went for my first fill I found out that I already had 3cc in my band. They put in 2 more and I could not even sip Water so they took out I cc and now I have 4cc’s. I have had appointments twice for two more fills but I have canceled them due to the fact that I am still losing and have some difficulty in eating some foods. I did not know to ask the question of my doctor before surgery so I am hoping that all the new banders to be will remember this and ask the doctor doing the surgery and not the nurse after surgery
  11. welcome, sounds like you are doing great
