I was wondering if any of you have tried to eat popcorn and how did it go? I don't recall my doctor specifically saying that I can't eat popcorn...

I was never told not to eat it but just to be careful with it. Stay away from the kernels. But I haven't had any issues so far, either with movie theater popcorn or the microwave version. I notice that I now eat less of it though.

Every now and then I'll have a handful of popcorn. I just make sure to chew it well. I only have 4.5 cc's in my 11 cc band and don't feel any restriction yet, but so far no adverse events :)

I like to have a small bowl full of plain popcorn occasionally. I am aware of needing to chew it well, and as with everything else, eat it slowly.

Popcorn is really just carbs, so go lightly with it.

I've never seen anything that says popcorn will be a problem... however, it just seems to me that it would be a problem so I avoid it like the plague! I think I've had maybe two pieces at the movie just out of reaching into the husband's bucket by habit... and then I think "no, no, no"! It's kind of like soda, I know I can swallow it, but I bet I'll end up paying for it!

I never eat it except at the movies and since I am avoiding soda like the plague (miss it so bad, don't want to ever go back!) then I haven't allowed myself popcorn or a movie yet lol. Hopefully I'll be able to try it again someday.

I love popcorn and unfortunately it slips right through my band! I could eat it all day! So I have limited myself to only eating it at the theatre when we go once a month!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
