Anyone Not Tighter In The Am?

Recommended Posts

I was just banded three weeks ago. I am a little discouraged to read a post below with everyone stating they are tight in the AM and cannot eat at all or only a shake, then totally loose and eat everything and anything at night.

Can I hear from some people that have had their bands for a while that have consistent restriction? Or is this true for everyone. I really would love to eat a healthy egg Breakfast.< /p>

Thanks,

Laura

I am tight all day long.. I have a hard time eating at anytime of the day.. But worse in in the am.. I have only had 2 fills and was banded almost 9 months ago.. So there is hope for restriction all day long...

I have never experienced the tighter in the morning thing. If anything I have more problems at night(but that might be because dinner foods are harder to eat than breakfast foods). For breakfast I usually eat a poached egg on 1 slice of wholemeal toast. If i'm not in the mood for that then I will have oats or homemade muesli with greek yogurt.

I have been banded since 09 and never tighter in the morning. It is quite consistent.

Sometimes when I go to bed, I feel like the day of a fill, in my chest. It is like I can feel myself breathing.

first off you are still newly banded. please focus on getting healthy.

people that eat everything and anything at night will not lose weight. and you do not want to follow in those foot steps. you should only eat at most, a cup of food at any one time.

you wont get restriction until several fills so you will have to eat smart, Portion Control and food choices that

are healthy.

in the morning i feel tighter and do drink a shake for breakfast. i have a small breakfast to hold me over until lunch.

I have been banded since March 2012 and dont feel tight in the morning. Like Carolina girl said you are early in the process and there will be plenty of time to feel restriction but for now just focus on healing. Also a cup of food or less is really the amount you will eat once you have good restriction before then you will more than likely eat more just because you have no restriction and the same size stomach. Be sure to eat healthy foods and always protien first. I have had 4 fills (4.1 cc) and still have very little restriction but I am getting there. Everyone's band is diffrent just listen to your body and only eat if you are hungry.

Banded 2010 (Dec). It seems everyday is different. Normally I cannot eat breakfast early. I can occasionally have an egg with chopped ham. But now that I'm at 5.5cc for me, oatmeal, cream of wheat, cottage cheese with mixed yogurt and granola is my style. I can't do bread at all, maybe a small baby bite of whole grain toast...but not my preference as I risk a stick with bread. About a cup each meal.

I've never been tight in the morning, if anything, I tend to eat a lot up until lunchtime and then am tighter in the evenng.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
