Any Ideas For The Full Liquid Stage??

Recommended Posts

I am post op day 7 and I am getting bored with my liquids. I am hungry but it is manageable. But I am not sure how I will make it through another week of eating liquids only if I don't get some new things in!

Help! :)

Definitely have had popsicles and fudgesicles (SF of course) and my fav Soups strained...I even had some plain SF ice cream that I just let get really soft. :)

I made those instant mash potatoes (the flavored idahoan ones) and added extra extra Water to make them reallllyy liquidy rather than normal thick mashed potatoes. I didn't over eat them though...just used as a separation from the normal plain liquids I was getting bored with. Kind of my treat :) Also, Tomato Soup was one of my favorites and still go back to it when I have one of those days where my band is reallllly tight. For me, Tomato Soup is usually thicker which fills me up more than regular Soups.< /p>

My doctor did not consider yogurt or potatos a liquid. Those are mushies.

For full liquid I really liked Pacific brand sweet red pepper/tomato Soup. I added Mrs Dash unsalted flavorings before heating. The herbs reconstituted and gave the soup a great taste.

As a nurse I can tell you yogurt and pudding are considered a full liquid. My doctor has them listed as full liquids as well. The yogurt cannot have any particles of fruit in it, so I found the toddler/baby yogurts to work. I also got creative with Protein Shakes that I still drink. My favorite one was 1/2 small banana, 1 tablespoon Peanut Butter, 1 cup skim milk and scoop Protein. sweeten to taste and blend with mixer until all liquified.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
