Wow it took my three fills and i am at 4.6ccs in my 10cc band with ALOT of restrictions. For my appointment on the 7th of August, I might ask for only .5cc but I can't keep anything down since my fill last Tuesday.

So is 5CC too much to start out with in a 11 cc band? I thought that was too much but I drank some Water and it went down ok. She said the normal cc is 8 in a 11 cc band.

you are lucky that you could tolerate that much... YOu are off to a great start.

i had 3ccs in an 11cc band for first fill... second fill i had one cc... i couldnt tolerate that extra cc so i had to get half that cc taken out. my next appointment is 18th august. Im only just managing now ... not sure whether i can take anymore at the moment.

I have the realize band and it took me to 10.6 cc 's in a 11 cc band to get restriction; so in hind site I wish my NP had been more agressive with fills.

I have the Realize band as well. My first fill was also 5cc. I have had two more additional fills since at 1cc a piece for a total of 7cc. I am due for another fill appointment on Monday and haven't decided if I want more. I feel I am in the zone and I usually stay satisfied for about 3.5 to 4 hours. My cravings and head hunger are gone and my appetite has diminished greatly.

I may ask for .5 cc not sure. I see the Nutritionist this Friday so I will get her opinion on things.

It really varies....some people can tolerate 5ccs and some can't. I have a 10cc band and my first fill 4 years ago was 2.5ccs. I've went up and down in ccs since then with my highest being 4.4 and I could barely keep liquids down with tht fill. I am now at 3.9 and pretty much have the perfect fill.....for me. If 5ccs works for you, go for it for a little while and see how it goes.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
