I am considering re-joining WW. I know better than to ever mention my band at a meeting b/c I was at a meeting pre-band where someone mentioned having WLS and did they crucify her. My reason for joining is that I NEED structure. I have always found the post op diet, while restrictive in some ways, to be too free for me.

I also was unfilled on May 15 and am sort of at ground zero again here. I have had 2 small fills and am again in Bandster Hell. Being home this past week from school I am eating and eating b/c I can. No control.

I am a slow loser and would join and quit WW b/c of my frustration level. So, I am not sure what to do here. I want to see the Psychologist at my surgeon, but she is $200 out of pocket per visit. That is not an option!

I know WW has the Power Foods thing which seems to be high Protein foods, so maybe that will help....

I am so disgusted with myself.

Any thoughts?

I lost 100 pounds with TOPS ( Take off pounds sensibly). With the support of our group leader who is an MD I was banded after regaining some of my weight. He knows about the surgery but no one else does. I will stay with the group for the accountability and support. Shame on the WW leaders for putting down WLS maybe they don't really understand it

Good luck to you WW works for many people, just watch the sodium and carb intake on the ready meals, and maybe try cooking some of them yourself .. i have had the frozen fish pie when i have run out of time to prep anything but a home made one tastes loads better and has more nutrients in it, get to make a batch and freeze them .. preparation is key when the boundaries on eating arent rigid, i know i have to prepare all my weeks menu at the weekend, so i dont have to think , its there and u dont make as many bad choices then ..if it works for u .. then just do it :)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
