Welcome! I'm in Arlington TX. I was banded April23rd (10 weeks yesterday) and as of today have shed 50 pounds.

Mushies can be tuna salad - chew chew chew & small bites. eggs and egg salad. ( I make my salads with low fat mayo, cant taste a difference, but I HATE fat free lol) They both will give you Protein. Also, I use Skillet Talapia from Gortons (classic or italian) It's very soft and you can chew it to mushie easily.

I have at least 1 Protein shake a day, usually Breakfast but that is up to you.

Another option is getting Unflavored Protein powder and mix it in SF pudding. I found it a tad gritty, but convinced myself it was graham cracker crust in a choco pudding pie lol Hey whatever works :)

Always focus on your Protein and be sure you get it all in. I use FitnessPal to keep track for me, it also counts your calories, but you can ignore th

The very best in your new life. hugssssssss

Sorry that was supposed to say too high in CARBS.

Hey Roni, thanks for all the great suggestions. I'm gonna use them.

I'm really focusing on the healing although I feel pretty good. I do have that one shooting pain from the back my doc says is normal surgery pain but that comes and goes and my pain killers help with that.

I need to remember to get in my Protein. Sometimes I forget to eat because I'm not hungry.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
