Alcohol And The Band?

I am a lite drinker, I drink vodka maybe once or twice a month and I was wondering if that would be a problem, I didn't want to ask my surgeon because I didn't want him to think I am a drunk lol.

My doctor does'nt think drinking is a good idea because it is just pure sugar. If you are on a serious diet would you have a 500 cal plus dessert multiple times a month on top of your other meals?

First, you NEED to ask your surgeon, because they need know all your personal habits. Hiding that sort thing from him isn't in your best interest even remotely.

Vodka won't hurt the band so long as you don't mix it with anything carbonated. There are many people who enjoy a drink once in awhile after being banded. But, keep in mind it's empty calories and not all good for loosing weight.

I am day 5. Went out last night day 4 and enjoyed several espresso martinis. I couldn't drink anything fizzy as it's difficult to burp already!

Not great for the diet but I sure am planning on having a drink or two every now and then! Stay away from anything carbonated but my clinic said it was fine after I've recovered.

Ur 5 days out of surgery and consuming alcohol mixed with fattening coffee mix?
