Have not been able to lay down or sleep in my bed I have been sleeping in my recliner. When I lay flat on my back I feel like something heavy is sitting on my stomach and when I lay on my side it hurts my stomach... Ugh I have to be on an incline.. I'm ready for this to be over so I can sleep back in my bed.. Banded last wed may 23

I wad banded on 5/25/12 and so far I can only sleep on my right side in the bed. I too am like u, when I lay on my back I feel pressure like something is on my chest. Because of this I split my time between the bed and the recliner. Unfortunately I had knee surgery a month before I was banded so I am used to the sleeping in the recliner :-(

I made my husband switch sides with me because I could not lay on my left side. So I would sleep on my right side half the night and go to the recliner the rest of the night. It only last 4-5 nights and then I was able to sleep on my left side.

This is all normal. I was banded 4/17/12 and I'm just NOW able to sleep or lay on my tummy. If you've vet been pregnant, you are familiar with the pillow fort. For the past month and a half, I've slept in a pillow fort.

The important key is to keep on icing even I you feel it doesn't hurt. It will help and you'll be able to sleep better eventually. It does get better.

Try the pillow fort and sleeping on your side with ice. Also take your liquid tylenol/Advil. Healing takes time and you will be able to sleep normally again.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
