Hair Falling Out

Recommended Posts

But what if you ARE getting enough Protein? My frustration has always been that people get fixated on one train of thought. Example....your hair is falling out=you must not be getting enough Protein. So whats the answer when a person has always been extra cautious about protein intake and continues to watch it closely?

I can not get a straight answer from my doctor and would love to know what other doctors have said. No offense here but I don't feel getting medical advice from my hairdresser is perhaps my wisest avenue. Not the sharpest tool in the shed if you know what I mean.

The man I date (plastic surgeon) laughed in my face when I ran the "anesthesia theory" by him. There is no medical validity to that one.

I am passionate about this issue for two reasons...

1. My hair fell out!!!! Enough said!

2. I hate not getting answers!

Whoa, I feel better.

i went through the same thing, fortunatly it stopped, then it started again then it stopped. I have very thick hair so now I have the same as everyone else but it scared the **** out of me I can tell you. I did some research and the general conscensus is FATTY ACIDS or lack of, but nobody ever goes bald, so dont panic (or all your hair will fall out ) lol

Flaxseeds are an exceptional source of lignans, a potent anticarcinogen and the richest known source of the essential omega-3 fatty acid, alpha-linolenic acid.

it will stop soon, and then grow back trust me !!

Has anyone tried taking the Biotin b4 the band to prevent hair loss? :) I'm just wondering if I can get a jump on this b4 it becomes an issue. Also, I've been through 2 pregnancies and 3 surgeries and have never lost hair....is this a good sign?

Thanks in advance for any advice! :(

Well, another theory could be the hormones. When I was pregnant my hair was KICKIN'! It was wondrous, soft, healthy. A week after my delivery, it started falling out in clumps. I would notice it in my shower and I too would stick it on the wall to see how much came out "today". (Dont worry, I tossed it in the trash when I got out.)

I asked my OB/Gyn and she said the flux of hormones was doing this to my hair.

When I started paying attention, I noticed that my eyebrow wax was lasting longer than normal too. :)

With the dramatic loss of weight, I imagine hormone levels are going up and down like a roller coaster.

Oh and it was around 8 months when i stopped seeing all my hair in the trash. Its grown back to "normal" now.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
