Does anyone know at what point, if ever, that we can take pill form medications??? I have been using children's liquid Tylenol for the occasional headache & I can barely get it down! It's like swallowing bubble gum flavored sugar! Now I know why my son gags everytime I give it to him!

I take small pills everyday. As to tylenol there there are adult versions. I buy store brands because they are cheaper. Go to the pharmacy and ask the pharmacist where to find it.

I take all pills and the only thing I have ever had trouble with is antibiotics in capsules because the capsule seems to melt away before it actually goes down and I am left with a nasty bitter bitter taste. I just went to doctor last night and got Lortab, antibiotic, steroids, and tessalon pearls and I have swallowed them all whole. They are all different sizes but the Lortab is bigger then Tylenol and i have no problem.

I've been able to swallow all sized pills for years now. It seems like some bandsters have issues swallowing pills and some don't. Great suggestion above to chop up your pills. You can also get liquid gels and pour them in to a drink.

I can swallow anything about the size of an asprin. For anything larger I use a pill cutter. You can find them in any drug store.... for $4-$7

Agree with the other points above, but you can also try St. Joseph chewable aspirin. It comes in orange and doesn't taste too bad. I take Flintstone's Complete chewable Vitamins which are also very good...

As for my grown-up meds, I take one capsule every morning by opening it, dumping it under my tongue, and then quickly drinking a sip of Water.

Good luck!

I've been taking my meds, as usual, since the day after surgery.

I have had no problems taking pills. I can even take my Vitamin whole. It goes down fine.

This is great to know! I don't take medicine very often, but it's good to know I can take pills!

I was glad to see so many of you able to swallow pills. I've been getting killer head aches and been too afraid to try to take whole pills. My doc said liquid caps should be okay, so I finally got some today. We'll see how it goes.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
