Approved But Not Scheduled

Recommended Posts

First off I'm so excited I found this forum. What a great thing and I'll be using it often, I'm sure.

I've been approved for surgery but I'm waiting for the center to call with the actual date. They said it'll be in the next 30 days because my lab work is only good for that long.

I'm excited but nervous. I can't wait to lose weight but since I use food as a reward for myself and it's such a big part of my social life I know I'll have a hard time. Does anyone else feel the same?

I am a bored/emotional eater, so it's taken time to get used to that... I'm still a work in progress and occasionally find myself eating for those reasons. It's really hard to change our ways, but we can make it happen. Sometimes it may seem like an uphill battle, but I know when I get to the right restriction, I'll be okay :)

And, I know one mistake does not equate to FAILURE. Get up, brush yourself off and move on.

Just take it one day at a time :)

I am waiting to hear if I've been approved but they are planning on a June date. I am excited for you. I hope your clinic offers follow up support and classes and maybe that will help with re learning how to deal with food. Good luck!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
