It's been 2 1/2 years since I have been banded and over the past year I have noticed severe pain in/around my abdomen. I went to the Dr. And she said it couldn't be the lap band bc the band is actually very high up. Only concern would be if it was around my port but I have had no problems with my port. I told the Dr. I eat a lot of sugar free and diet things and she said that it could possibly be gas due to the ingredients in all of the sugar free stuff. So I completely cut out ALL sugar free things in my diet. I noticed it is not as bad but I still get the pain about once every 2 weeks or so. Has anybody ever experienced this??

I was having the same kind of pain and I've definitely noticed that it is a lot less if I cut back on the sugarfree stuff. I wasn't paying attention to the Crystal light and that in itself was giving me a wicked stomach ache. I hope you feel better.

      Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

      Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
