I'm so frustrated lately. I feel like my stomach is so gross. I feel like even though I've lost 30 lbs (which is way less than a lot of people on here) it still is so ugly. It's really frustrating because at the age of 22 I should not be worrying about this stuff. I'm totally down for all of the effort and hard work it takes to eat healthy and exercise, but not seeing results is very frustrating. grr just needed to vent; has anyone else felt this way!? What did you do!?

Yes I have felt this way but I am much older and have only been banded for 2 months...what i do is kick up and change up the exercise. I have also resorted back to the preop diet or some version of it and even added calories some days just to change things up...I come on this site for support, remember my NSVs, and value my 31 lb loss that i know would not be possible without my band! Hang in there...there will be plenty more ups and downs! How long have you been banded?

Like you, OP I had my surgery a while back, and I'm not down as much as I had thought I would be. In fact, I had thought I'd be at goal by now. But it's mostly my own fault for working around my band. I've also had issues with my fill level (going for another fill next week after three unfill/refills; just can't get this right!). All I can say is, yes it is totally frustrating, but you can't give up! I'm going to be 40 next January and I'm damn well going to be finished losing weight by then! You can do it too!

I don't know about you guys but any weight loss is better than my last 10 years of upward weight! I lost a lot the weeks after surgery but it has really slowed as I started mushies and soft foods. Keep your chin up, remember the end goal and don't beat yourself up. :-0

honey, ill be 54 this summer and while i didnt have any weight probs until i turned 30, l know that being overweight and frustrated is difficult at ANY age ! Instead of venting about what you HAVE"NT done, how about venting on what you HAVE done ?? do you feel better, look better, less meds , etc ? Got any good nsv's to tell, or a nice compliment or two that came your way ?? Any advice for the newbies that might be reading this ? You've made alot of progress so far , just think where you'll be 3 months from today !! Keep up the hard work and you'll get there ! Good luck !

P.S. Im down 30 lbs too, in 4 months and i consider it a huge payoff so far . Better to have lost 30 than to have gained 30 or stayed the same. any weight loss i consider a positive !!

I know it can be frustrating. I am down 73 pounds in the past 15 months. In the beginning I lost pretty quickly but I was following all of the rules and working out five days per week. I started getting hungry and so I had a fill. I lost another 10 pounds, but then I started not being able to keep hardly anything down including Soup and that kind of thing and I had an unfill. Now I get hungry a lot and I think I went a little overboard because I was able to eat more. I have an issue where I get a lot of sinus infections and the drainage actually fills up my stomach during those times, I also become very tired and struggle with exercising. So I have been in a funk, wanting to give up. But I thought, I need to get back on this forum and start thinking positively again. I know it is hard but you can do it. Just keep following all of the rules and exercising and it will happen.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
