  3. Check with your doc on meals. Mine says 4 oz protein and 1/4 cup veggies. I bless if I put it into ameasuring cup it would about 1 cup. I sip all day! I use and reuse the 32 oz Gatorade bottles so I can keep track if quantity. I drink 3 to 4 full bottles a day. I drink: water with lemon, diluted crystal light decay iced tea, diet Hawaiian punch packets, whatever just to keep the fluids rolling. Good luck!
  4. I have a 14cc band and am at decent restriction now. If it stays as it has this month. I won't get additional fills. See stats in ticker below.
  5. Crystal light is my savior. I tried the diet Hawaiin Punch packets but tired of that really quickly. I drink the decaf iced tea, and can even tolerate it in lukewarm water. Pop just doesn't sound good anymore, it never really did quench my thirst.
  6. At the state office park I saw a pregnant staff from the kid's health insurance program out smoking every day!
  7. Hi My doctor wants me to have a hysterectomy. I was wondering what others have experienced with a second surgery the same year as lap band? Anyone specifically have a hysterectomy? Do you need to have fluid removed from your band for another sergery to occur?? I am seeing my lap band doc on Tuesday and will ask him all these questions, but am really interested in information from you all...
  8. I can feel mine more and more. At first it was awfully tender in that area and I was constatly rubbing it (which of course, made the soreness worse). SO, I used to refer to it as my gunshot wound. But now, i only feel it if I touch it. No soreness at all.
  9. I get this for a variety of reasons. Sometimes from too large of a bite, or from not chewing enough, or from eating too fast...I just consider it a gentle reminder to take my time, chew chew chew and cut my food into smaller bites.
  10. Nice summary! Thanks, i am almost at 6 months out and have had alot of the same feelings, concerns, and motivations!

  12. I am water girl too. Laps walking anything in water keeps myback paindown! I recommend the onestopplus.com website for larger sized suits at decent (clearance) prices! CCornell you will be able to do lots that won't aggravate your foot pain!
  13. GREAT!! Keep up the good work.
  14. I am 5 months out. Breads do not work, at all!! Neither do hamburger parties. Even if rare. Any vinagrette dressing on salad or as a marinade will not stay down. I have not tried rice or potatoes. All veggies are fine. chicken cannot be overdone. But ground beef for taco meat works. I can only do 1/2 a 10" flour tortilla as a quesedilla or a wrap.
  15. I love oikos individuals for breakfast on work days, the plain costco brand with some fruit preserves is my nightime snack. I need to cut down on it! But, I use it to get my last protein grams in for the day. I picked up some Greek Gods plain last week and OMG it is like whipped cream or ice cream ~ holy zeus!!! wow, that could really be my new weakness but I am too cheap to buy it often
  16. I love fruit, and am so excited it is summer. Last visit to the doc (I am less that 6 months out from surgery) ~ the nurse told me to avoid the sugar carbs from fruit . It broke my heart. I do eat my proteins first and only had fruit as a mid-afternoon snack, but I guess my doc is more focussed on lower carbs...
  17. Hip Hip HOORRRRRRAAAYYYYY! Good for you!
