What's substantial mean to you? Aren't you still on liquids?

I've tried yogurt, Protein Shake, probiotic drink, mashed potatoes, everything is making me feel sick and bloated or have diarrhea. I just drank a probiotic drink caz my tummy is rumbling and now I feel sick :(

I am having the exact same problem right now!! I had my surgery on 4/3. The cramping and diarrhea are excruciating and began yesterday around 2am! I called my Dr, but spoke to the RN.. She recommended I take some Imodium as directed on the box and make sure I do not stop the liquids. She also recommended I eat Proteins only, no veggies, no potatoes.. nothing but proteins. I'm really hoping this helps. I hope you feel better soon!! :(

liquid in, liquid out. You won't become more regular until you start eating more solids. Once you get a few weeks post op, it will get better. After 4-6 weeks post op i was almost every morning going mostly normal, but I'm the opposite now, get more constipated but I don't get enough Fiber, which helps.

But loose bowels are normal for now. Especially if you're mainly on liquids. It does get better.

When in doubt, stick to the BRAT diet if your band allows. Bananas, Rice, Applesauce, and Toast (probably can't do the "T" with the band). Remember to keep hydrated since diarrhea can deplete your electrolytes. Hope you feel better soon :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
