My surgery was yesterday April 16th. So far doing okay...I have a sore throat. Did this happen to anyone else? I didn't expect this...

I had a sore throat, but I figured it was either from possible tubing from surgery, the acid reflux from the hiatal hernia repair, or just simply the fact I was so dehydrated. I coped with Halls Breezers fruit pectin drops, to at least sooth and have some salvia going on.

I had my band on the 17th.. Still feeling uncomfortable... they found a hiatal hernia and repaired that. I had a reaction to the paid meds so only taking tylenol... the gas is prob the worse pain I think... Trying to find some creamy Soups to have... Also been drinking Protein Drinks, popsicle, and crystal light. Hoping to feel better tomorrow.

I was banded the 18th. My doc wants me to stay on clears and Protein Shakes for one week. I want creamy soup!!!

So enjoy your Soup for me. I'm not really hungry, just empty feeling. And I'd buy a fart if I could get one. Dang it's uncomfortable.

A heating pad will help with the gas pains as well as getting up and walking as much as possible. Jello is also good for Clear Liquids as well.

Heating pad has helped. My doc has me on Miralax, milk of mag and enemas too. It gets me temporary relief. Im guessing I have a touch of an ileus. I think tomorrow will be a better day.

I am on day 4 of post op. and I was hoping this morning the pain would subside some. Can anyone tell me how long before the discomfort from moving goes away?

I had my surgery on April 13 which was a Friday and by Thursday I was feeling 100% better. When I woke up I had a sore feeling near my port but I just put an ice pack on it and it went right away.

I am still sore also and had mine on the 17th. I guess we just have to give it some time.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
