I just hit my 40 pound mark and feel the same way. I can see my clothes no longr fit but I still can't wrap my brain around being thinner. Not sure really I ever will. I have been fat my whole life so I am not sure if my brain will ever think I am thin!! LOL

We are all here to support each other, not compare. I personally have always had a round chubby face and prob always will. But that is me. Plus pictures are great to look back on and see how far you have come. Hope this helps and I like seeing everyones smiling face in there pictures.soooo post post post

Diet Soda
Is there anyone out there that continued to drink carbonated drinks like diet soda after they were banded. I can't seem to break the habit and am guilty of having a diet soda every once in awhile. I knew I would have a hard time with it but didn't realize it would be this difficult.

Hospital Stay
I stayed overnight and glad I did. I became very nauseous from the pain meds and anesthesia. Def keep gas x handy, you will need them. I also couldn't take any pain meds so I was uncomfortable for just a little bit. But it only lasts a short time.. And most people are fine and up and around the next day.

5 Months Post Op
I also was banded in April and have 1 cc. I have lost 35 pounds. It is coming off slow but I think thats a good thing. We didn't gain it all overnight so how could we possible take it off quickly. I am just glad I am losing.

Do You Feel Like You Did The Right Thing?
I can tell you I am normally a very upbeat person and I was banded in April and felt sort of like that. I think its part of not doing our normal day to day stuff. Change is sometimes hard and we don't even realize why its bothering us. Getting the band is def life altering, but in a good way. I felt sort of depressed for a couple of weeks but it went away as my life started to fell "normal" again. Just dont feel you are alone. As they say "this to shall pass" Hope this helps

April Bandsters!
I was banded 5/17 and had my first fill yesterday. The doctor put 2 cc's in my 10cc band. He had a little trouble finding my port and said I had scar tissue. (not sure what that means) He did find it but when pulling out the needle some saline squirted onto my stomach not sure if that means not all of the 2ccs went in or not. The fill did not hurt and if I hadn't seen him do it I wouldn't have even known I had it done. I felt great after and do feel a bit of restriction today.
