I've been big all my life.. ALL my life. I remember I was in 3rd or 4th grade when I weighed in at 100lbs. The first time I tipped the scales at 300 I was in Jr high school. I remember blaming the scale in the doctor's office - over many attempts to many diets I was able to get my weight down to about 270.

Then in 2008 (after graduating college), I tipped the scales at 320lbs.. I was mortified on how I let myself go! How did I not notice? I kept thinking to mysel. One thing I can say about my weight was that it did not hold me back socially. I owned my size and people loved how confident I was with it. I had plenty of friends and didn't get teased as much as people who typically are my size would have.

Something about being 320lbs scared me and I took control and over the course of a year and a half to two year I lost 75lbs. I got down to my lowest (240lbs) that I could ever remember. Then I hit a plateau and gained about 15 lbs.gaining. Gaining those 15lbs (even though it wasn't noticeable) scared me so much that I needed another alterative.

That is why I got banded on 9/11... I didn't want to creep back to that size again. I want to eventually have kids and be able to do so at a healthier weight. I also wanted to feel better about myself, I wanted to find the me that's been buried under all of this body. The fact that i'm evolving is so exciting.. I can't wait to live the rest of my life!

Thanks for reading! Please feel free to ask any questions.. I'm open to them!
