Hi LBT! I have been peeking at this forum for a few weeks and finally decided to join in on the fun.

I was banded just over 10 months ago and have lost 92 lbs. This has been the best thing to ever happen to me. Does everyone feel the same way? ...or are there any regrets out there?

I am still adjusting to my band. Tonight, a chunk of chicken and I had a showdown. Unfortunately, the chicken won because the dirty bugger snuck down my throat when I wasn't looking (or chewing, I should say). :P

Oh, and is it normal to be completely obsessed with your Lap-Band?

Hi, yup, kind of dry fried chicken breast may be the very worst for "stuckage".

Hey, I had a really bad experience this weekend. How about two pints of ice cream while on a weekend vacation?

I figure when I see the spike in my weight tommorrow, all I can do is just go heads-down, and try to get back on the wagon.

In terms of being obsessed with the band. - yup. Better the band than food!

Damn ice cream!

Welcome to LBT and congratulations on your weight loss! That's just super! I've only been banded 6 weeks and it's so encouraging to see folks like you show up a year +/- out and proclaim that they still love their band. I hope you have some before and after pictures to show!

Oh and I hope it's normal to be obsessed with the band. I sure am and hope to remain so. It's my baby now, and I'm happy to be obessed with something positive. Like Brad said, better the band than food!

Hi, I am not banded yet, but will be next week - also in KS. Where and with whom were you banded?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
