Weight Watchers History

Recommended Posts

Had a question about Weight Watchers. I was just notified by my insurance that I can substitute my 6 month Physician supervised diet with either Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers, etc. (minimum 6 consecutive months within the past 2 years) However, I was wondering if anyone has found a way to retrieve this kind of information from weight watchers.

I called the 1-800 number, but all they were able to supply me with was the billing information on how many months I paid. (Which I know will not be sufficient since I am positive they will want to see my weight at that time.)

I know I just saw my little "Weight Watchers Weight Tracker book" somewhere in my house not too long ago and am now frantically looking for it lol but of course I can't find it now that I'm looking for it. So was just wondering if anyone has had any luck getting that information from anywhere else? Should I go to the location where I used to get weighed and see if they have a history in their computer?? Just wondering if anyone else has had any success with that.

Thanks! 001_smile.gif

Hi Kristy...I also used my weight watchers for my 6 months diet. I couldn't find my latest tracker book (I had to have proof of 6 months within a couple years) so I actually went to the WW meeting location and asked them if they could print out my weigh ins.

At first she told me she didn't have the ability to print it out? They were able to pull up the screen with all of my weigh ins from day 1...way back. Then she tried to print them and for some reason only the first page would print (I kept that as it had the dates I needed for most of them...read on)?! Then, I asked if she could just one by one print out the labels for the prior 6 months (not as bad as it sounds - about 24 of them)...she did and was real nice about it. She just kept them all on one big long strip and I took them and taped them to a couple of sheets of paper. But...be warned...when my lables were printed the date always showed the day she printed them all off...so I wrote down the dates next to them. You can tell they are not all one date though as it showed the current weight and the weight loss (or gain).

Also, I would suggest going in when they aren't busy with weigh ins right before a class! I also told the WW lady I NEEDED them for insurance. One more thing...I called WW Corporation and they suggested I go to the meeting place I weighed in at. I turned in the payment proof from WW Corporate along with the WW labels I pasted on paper and dated and the first sheet and got approved!

Good luck!

Kristen1969 just had another question for you. Did you lose a significant amount of weight in the time you were doing weight watchers?? I actually remember doing pretty well. I think i lost about 50 pounds, but of course i've gained it all back + more. Just wondering if you think it would look bad to the insurance company for me to have lost that amount of weight???

I lost at WW and gained it back...it didn't matter. Just the fact that you tried for a period of time and now need to lose again (I think).

FYI - I am on day 7 of my pre-op shakes - my surgery date is Feb 15th! I started this whole process in Sept with my seminar.

did you pay cash or debit card? if you paid with a debit card, you can pull your old bank statements and show the charges and dates.

But, like Kristen said i would call the place you went to, get the directors name and number, be as sweet as pie on the phone and ask her/him if they could please print this out for you. I would even say..."i don't mind if i have to pay"..... my insurance needs this information.

Update!!! So I went yesterday to my WW Location and the girl helping me was SUPER nice BUT she said that it looks like I had joined in April 2010 for about 8 months BUT I stopped and then rejoined in June 2011 and so they reset all of the weight history in her system. So the only weights she could give me were for 5 weeks in a row that I went in June of 2011. She said that her system would not allow her to see the past weight history. sad.png

However, she asked me if I used E-tools (Which I did) and so she told me to call the E-tools Help Desk because they may be able to retrieve a better history for me. So I will be calling them in a few to see if I have any luck.

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.

Oh yeah, something I wanted to rant about, a billing dispute that cropped up 3 months ago.
Surgery was in August of 2023. A bill shows up for over $7,000 in January. WTF? I asks myself. I know that I jumped through all of the insurance hoops and verified this and triple checked that, as did the surgeon's office. All was set, and I paid all of the known costs before surgery.
A looong story short, is that an assistant surgeon that was in the process of accepting money from my insurance company touched me while I was under anesthesia. That is what the bill was for. But hey, guess what? Some federal legislation was enacted last year to help patients out when they cannot consent to being touched by someone out of their insurance network. These types of bills fall under something called, "surprise billing," and you don't have to put up with it.
      https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises
I had to make a lot of phone calls to both the surgeon's office and the insurance company and explain my rights and what the maximum out of pocket costs were that I could be liable for. Also had to remind them that it isn't my place to be taking care of all of this and that I was going to escalate things if they could not play nice with one another.
Quick ending is that I don't have to pay that $7,000+. Advocate, advocate, advocate for yourself no matter how long it takes and learn more about this law if you are ever hit with a surprise bill.
