Passport Photo!

Recommended Posts

After loosing so much weight, we have been looking at "Before and After" pictures, Then joked about it looks like another person on my driver's liscense.

But then I though about my Passport. I don't look anything like that person anymore.

We will be traveling this spring. I'm not sure if this will be a problem or not.

I'm sure they are experienced and grained enough to expect these circumstances. Generally a passport ID trumps other forms of ID, but now, I think I will have to carry additional ID with me, and maybe some proof of the surgery.

Any thoughts? Any customs or homeland security people out there?

The only way to change your picture on your passport is to apply for a renewal and then you lose the time remaining on the first one. Since passports are valid for 10 years, I'm sure customs officials are used to people not looking like their pictures. Carrying proof of your surgery and other id probably isn't a bad idea, tho.

Yes I am sure that agents are well aware of weight loss (and gain) pictures! I haven't changed my drivers license photo either, so it shows a fat old lady, haha! Some folks deny that it is me. Ohers, just except it, and tell me I look amazing! Roll with it, you are fine! Karen

Thanks, that was what I was thinking also. Just throwing it out there in case someone had a problem. If i wanted to renew mine, I would have to do it now for travel in the spring.

I have NEVER looked like my passport picture, and haven't had any problems. They always ask me questions, like birth date, where I was born, etc. Good for me, but kinda scary if you think about it.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
