Mine are CHEETO"S that cruchy chese doodle they advertise on TV with the cartoon lion. I can't go to a convience without buying a small bag.

I like chips and Salsa, especially if you make your own, and the tortilla chips are 100% natural, it's not that bad for you.

It's one of the foods I eat while watching TV, especially OU FOOTBALL!

(I see you're from Norman)

Queso on the other hand,.....I stay away from.

Yup i live in norman and i love tarahumaras mmmm..

My favorite thing in the word is a Burger. I'm a burger snob though. I love going to fancy restaurants and having a good, well-crafted burger with their fancy rosemary truffle oil fries, YUMMY!!!!! I am 13 days post-op and of course haven't had anything like this for several weeks. I do go out to Cheesecake Restaurant this friday with a girlfriend and afraid of what will happen because my appetite has come back with a vengance!

A good sandwich, is something I will never be able to have again. If I had a Cuban I would only pick at the contents, and throw away the bread.< /p>

We used to get Pizza at least once a week, No More.

I can eat thin crust (very thin, cracker like) but not much.

I drink as much coffee as I ever did before, and I am a big coffee drinker!

I'm not into the flavored, fraps, froths, etc, just good strong dark columbian!

I will have expresso when I can also.

If you could do a search here, you will find many coffee lovers refusing to give it up!

And you will find many who did.

coffee gets me through the day! I am 2 1/2 years out, but have drank coffee since about 3 weeks after surgery. I can't function without it! Tea doesn't do it for me.

Expresso and cafe con leche is my cup of tea but have not had any since surgery and mimicing with decaff and vanilla protien shake, ,, hanging in there with that.

and as for the cuban, the real cuban bread breaks up like craker all over the floor, as its made with Water n no egg. When it is pressed there is no meat of the bread left so not sure. Im trying to encorporate my latin dishes into what fits the lap band and what doesnt.

When I mentioned to my doctor that I would miss my coffee he said why should you give it up? Here's the deal though any time you add anything milk based to your coffee you are on a slippery slope. I read a story on line where a guy asked his friend a Nut. to help him figure out why he had gained 20 pounds. After all he had'nt changed his food habits. Well he had started a job that had free coffee; but he did'nt take it black. He discovered he was adding several hundred calories a day from the sugar (16 cal per teaspoon), and Creamers (20 cal per container). Here in NE at Dunkin Donuts a regular consists of two heaping spoonfuls (larger than tablespoon) of sugar plus two squirts of cream.

Being English i love my cups of tea, but i also have around 2 cups of coffee a day too, all made with skimmed milk, it gives u Protein from the milk, can stave off a little hunger pang till meal time and is very few calories. I certainly wouldnt give it up unless there were medical contra-indications for drinking it :)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
