Hi Babs,

Just want to let you know that by following your suggestion I didn't PB once today. This is the FIRST day in over a week that I got in SOLID Protein, cut up VERY small and chewed until my jaws were tired! I'm thrilled because it means I won't have to go for an un-fill if this keeps up.

Deep down I sort of knew this was the problem but "hearing" it from others makes a greater impression. Thank you for not blowing off a silly question. Sometimes we just need a reminder of how we're supposed to help our little bandit!

Hi Lulu,

Good for you! I am trying to work very hard chewing everything to a pulp as well since my fill last week. I haven't barfed, but I had a golfball for 15 minutes the other day rushing down a piece of rib before I picked my baby up from daycare and boy did it hurt! Went to Chili's last night and it took me 30 minutes to eat all the grilled chicken from my lettuce wraps. The tortilla chips went down easy, so I limited myself to 6 of them. Its really a lot of work to think about chewing and portion sizes and I have gotten to the point where I eat and disect everything with my hands rather than use a fork and knife. I don't have time to cut up my Protein and I find it easier to use my fingers to eat. Screw what others are thinking! I am sure that I look like a cannibal, but who cares? At least I will be a skinny cannibal!!! You will get used to it after a while. Chew Chew Chew!!!! Glad to hear it is going better!

Sometimes I wish I could have a switch to turn the band on or off lols.... But that would defeat the purpose of being banded in the first place right ???

Yes having to chew chew chew does take a while to get use too!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
