Please Tell Me, my surgeon pushed off my Lap Band Surgery!

Recommended Posts

I say most definitely take the job. Good jobs are hard to come by, especially in this economy. If you don't want to tell them you're having surgery you can tell them you have a vacation already planned and is it ok. When I got the job I'm at now I had a vacation that I was planning I told them and they were fine with it. You can tell them though you're having a hiatal hernia repair or something, not sure if you need one, but they're not going to know. I just wouldn't say your gallbladder or appendix (unless you already had them out), use in case you need those some other time.

Yes, I agree with the other poster. Take the job, I'm sure they will understand that you had something previously planned. I had a job once where I had to take off a month after being hired to maternity leave. I tried to hide my pregnancy during the interview. They made me an offer anyway and my leave was not a problem at all.

I would take the job...but I wouldnt fib about your surgery nor would I indicate what type it is or isnt. I would just explain you have a prescheduled medical procedure scheduled for the week of blankidy blank and need that week off. Of course you would understand if you had to take it without pay.

Good Luck!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
