Oh yeah....First fill might not make a whole difference. I'm hoping the 2nd will. This is when our willpower needs to take over......hopefully :)

I have no will power :( it was so easy at first because I had some restruction. I guess it was fro swelling.

Just hang in there. This is a great time to practice those new eating habits - super slow and plenty of chewing. Restriction will come with fills but in the mean time, it's about making the lifestyle changes that will let you enjoy success with the band.

And don't beat yourself up if you make a mistake here or there. You are only human and the important thing is to get up and get going again.

Good luck

I'm at the point too, but my first fill isn't scheduled until December 27, two months after my surgery!

Hang in there, it will get better I promise! It usually takes a few fills to feel restriction. Until then, unfortunately you have to learn to deal with being hungry all the time. Sucks I know! Try supplementing with Protein Shakes or bars, and keep some low-cal healthy Snacks on hand like veggies and fruit (cut them up when you buy them so they're ready right out of the fridge). And drink lots of WATER! It will help you feel fuller longer. Good luck!

I feel your pain. I have been beating myself up ever since Thanksgiving. I've had one fill and can eat anything.

Today, its back to the gym. I brought my high Protein shakes and healthy food to work. Hopefully, will get back and stay on track.

Stressing about Christmas and I'm a stress eater. Wish I could shake that old habit!!

I have been hungry since Sat. I was due for a fill last week, but they said I would not be able to eat Thanksgiving dinner so they told me to come in this week for my 1st fill. I cannot wait till Wednesday. I do not want to be hungry anymore, I loved how it was after surgery till a few days ago, no hunger and I was full fast with a few bits. I am down 40 pounds and go to the gym 4 days a week. i hope this helping this weekend. Good luck.

I was here too...and it was terrible. Not only hunger wise, but mentally! I felt like I had the surgery and everything would be great from that point on. WRONG!! My willpower had to be in high gear the first month after surgery and I'm here to tell you, it was VERY hard. I even ate deviled eggs and cheese dip 3 days post op because I was so hungry. Then I was bawling my brains out afraid I ruined everything. You just have to know that this is a journey and each step will make you stronger. Try your best, and thats all you can do. You will start to see changes once the fills come, until then, stay as focused as you can. Look at short term goals, daily goals to help you stay on track. Good luck!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
