Do You Feel The Lap Band Ring Post Op

Recommended Posts

Feeling restriction basically means you can feel how full you get quicker. It takes way more time to eat because if you don't you will get that stuck feeling. It basically means that you can not eat as much.

I'm a month post-op. I have never felt my band. I can feel the port. I sorta like being able to feel it. Sometimes I rub it for luck before sitting down for dinner or getting on the scale. LOL!

I understand what happens when you get stuck but what exactly does feeling restricted feel like? Like your full? bloated?

I am 2+ years and you can not feel the band, you can feel the port through the skin as you lose weight. Sometimes you can feel the food move through the band or if you get stuck you can feel when it does go through the band. Don't worry it is nothing strange and you will not be bothered by it.

Same here. My port sticks out like a 1/2 golf ball under my skin. I can palpate the tube a few inches as it moves mid-line then disappears. (goes deep)

I just ate a Protein bar and can feel my band with every swallow. The restriction slowed me way down unless I get stuck. As a matter of fact, I think the last swallow is still sitting there.

I'm four weeks post op and have healed enough and lost enough weight to be able to feel my port under my skin with my fingers. It does not stick out or hurt or anything like that.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
