Approved For Panniculectomy !!!

Recommended Posts

I am so excited to announce that I FINALLY heard from my insurance company today and they approved my panniculectomy. I have been dealing with these rashes and stuff for over a year now and now am going to be able to have the chance to have a flatter tummy. I am going to have the full abdominoplasty and TT (extra cost) but if I am going to do this I only want to do it once! I am filled with a sense of excitement but also REALLY nervous about going under the knife. I have a choice at either the end of December or the end of January. SO many feelings running through me right now!

Congratulations ! 10 Days ago I had a lower body lift, I was really scared going in. My surgery was extensive as they did the front and back and some work on the sides of my chest. The first days are hard and the one major suggestion is you will need a recliner! If you don't have one than purchase a nice one for Christmas! I slept in this chair for the first 8 nights. A few days after surgery I was in my bedroom to change and went on the bed with pillows as they recommend even with this was really hard to get up.

Also make sure you are in best possible shape prior to surgery, it is not easy but I am already glad that I have done it and still swollen so will be interesting to see the final results.

Take Care

Ross

Thanks, Ross. I am in pretty good shape. I work out regularly, even job 5Ks (2 coming up in the next couple weeks). I do, thankfully, have a recliner and a few books I am looking forward to reading. Congrats on your newest accomplishment!

That's awesome! I would love to do that sometime! Do you mind sharing how much you have to pay for the panniculectomy to be expanded to the Tummy Tuck? That is what I would like to do in the future.

It is going to cost an extra $6200 but, from what I read from everyone, it is well worth the money.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
