i have two weeks to go before i start my liquid diet for two weeks. i have one more dietician appointment next tuesday and i have a list of what i should be eating, but i feel like i better sit down and think about what i will need to buy to get me through the two week liquid diet and the 2 - 4 weeks post surgery, because i know i will not be able to go right out after surgery and shop.

so besides sugar free jello; broth; sugar free apple sauce and ice pops; sugar free pudding; skim milk, plenty of high Protein liquid meal supplements and my Multi Vitamins, Calcium supplements and gas x, what else will i need to get me through the two week pre surgery diet and two - four week post surgery liquid diet. it is a bit overwhelming. Thank you

Hi Roseann, you should have an appointment with a nutritionist during your indoctrination. They'll tell you just what you need to get. Your list sounds pretty complete as it is.

The only thing you might add is Vitamin B12 (sublingual).

My program may not be the same as yours, so what I needed may not be what you need. If for some reason you don't get a list of

stuff you need, we'll be happy to provide you with what our program suggested.

I think you'll be surprised just how fast you'll be out and about.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
