Day before Surgery

Recommended Posts

This is the day before sugery and I'm ready for it to be over and ready to eat real food !! I think my sense of smell has intensified since I started this liquid diet... I can ride down the road and smell what the restraunts are cooking!

God lick tomorrow. Just remember after surgery to take it slowly and follow your doctor's instructions.

Now begins the real work. I'm sure you know you're going to have six weeks of clear liquid,

full liquids and then mushies. Then you can eat regular food, cut into fingernail sized pieces.

Nothing easy about this trip, bud. But then you'll begin to get fills, and depending on your will

power, the weight loss really begins. Some folks loose through the whole process, but that

really takes gumption. You don't really have to go hungry if you can be a little creative.

There are recipes on this site and a bunch on Google to make this time a little less boring.

The real problem is that you can't just grab a hunk of cheese or a donut whenever you

want and still lose weight. It's going to be Protein Drinks, Crystal light, chicken Boullion, and

and things like that. If I can give up pizza and beer, you can too. It really isn't too bad, it

just seems so while you're going through it. A lot of people set small goals, then another

and so on and in a year or so they'll be down 100 lbs or so. Make up your mind to succeed,

and you will.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
