Low Rise Jeans and Thong Panties

Recommended Posts

I'm wearing NORMAL STORE (Old Navy 18) jeans today! But they feel so foreign to my body. What year did women's jeans change to where they button 3 inches below the belly button, and is this supposed to be a comfortable fit? Will I get used to it?

I put them on with my usual French Cut Jockey panties, but had to change into a thong because 5 inches of panty showed above my waistband - but I can't even call it a waistband because the band sits on my hips. Even a thong panty shows above these jeans.

All kidding aside, are skinny women actually comfortable with this hipster clothing thing that apparently happened when I was hiding under all that weight? It's a very odd, odd feeling.

You are wearing this...

and complaining about how low riders feel??

From what I've seen, a bit of thong showing with a sexy tat on the lower back is all the rage. Be sure to wear your top to short to cover that up.

I wear thongs daily. BUT, I never intentionally have them poking outta my jeans. I never liked thongs and G-strings, but DH asked me to wear them, and now I can't go without. I hate panty lines

Actually they do make thongs with tummy support. Can even find them at walmart! Believe that one? I about fell over when I saw them the first time. Didn't try them however. Let me know how they feel and do if you decide to try them.

I like "Just below the waist" jeans, but no low rise ones. I feel like I'm about to bust out of them or something. Also, I have to wear a belt with them to keep them up, and the belt wants to ride up to my waist, so my belt looks all funky now, lol.

Even with the full body shot, it still looks like a man's ass.

I have to second princess here. I'll go commando before I go with butt floss. I mean - the goal of my average day is to keep my underwear out of my butt.

There's actually a new recognizeable leg disorder caused by tight lowriders - where the leg goes numb from pressure in a nerve that crosses the front of the hip.

I like low rise jeans. Relatively low rise jeans that is, I cant stand "women's cut" jeans that go to your waist. Ugh. When low rise jeans werent the norm, I bought mens jeans for their lower rise. Much more flattering, much more funky and much MUCH more comfortable. They dont cut off your lungs when you sit down and you dont need to undo them after you eat.

I manage to find them just the right rise, not super low, so that I dont have my undies hanging over the top (although the day I buy a full brief will be the day I go into a nursing home) and I dont have yards of bare back showing everytime I sit down either.

I think you get used to lower rises, and skinny women certainly seem comfortable in the super low ones, so unfortunately do lots of chunkier women, that muffin top is not a great look.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
