I went months. It's the hormonal inbalance. I was even on the pill and continued spotting and or bleeding.

Months I tell you.

Two years out and it still happens if I loose a lot of weight or gain some.

Argh.

The same thing happened to me. It will get better. I was on mine for 6 weeks. It sucked. The doc did all the tests and everything was fine, so she said it was hormones from losing weight. It finally stopped about a week ago! I was excited for that, but I haven't lost any weight since I quit my period, wonder if people retain Water or bloat after their period...I never used to keep track.

You should see your gyno, they can switch you to the shot and that usually stops it. If it gets really bad and they want to do something surgically see if they can do what is called an oblation. It stops your period but leaves everything else intact so you don't get thrown into menopause.

Ugh, I am so with you. I was banded on 9/1. My regular cycle had literally just ended 2 days before surgery (which was relieving). I started up again on 9/6, and it was **really** heavy for a week, and spotted for another week. Finally that stopped, and then yesterday, started again. Arrrrrrrgggggggghhhh!!

I talked to my doctor, and he said that is all normal (hormones are stored in fat, and as fat breaks down, they are released back into your system and mess your cycle up), and that things will normalize in a couple months.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
