What about 2012 Bandsters?

I will be banded sometime in early 2012. Is there a place for me to post about my journey. Like a Banded To Be. :0]

Sounds like you are good to go. You've really knocked out all the requirements in a very short time. I'm moving much slower. I have to get 5-year records, among other things.

I don't have a date yet. I just started the 3-month diet. I'm curious about the sleep study. What do they have you do? Your insurance requires an endoscopy? Why?

Good luck with the endoscopy!

Thats just my personality, once I get started I'm nonstop, I want to knock out all my appts. My surgeon wanted a 5 yr medical history as well, my pcp faxed all the info. My insurance company only wants a 2 year weight history. The sleep study is just to rule out if you have sleep apnea, and if u do they will provide you with a cpap machine, bc if u hv it, its worst right after surgery. The endscopy is just to make sure you have no stomach ulcers, and view the upper GI tract

I understand why there is a sleep study. I am just curious as to exactly how it is done. At home? In the hospital? Hooked up to wires? Details, my dear, I want details.

p.s. I am jealous about your personality. It's a great way to be. Sadly, I'm the ultimate procrastinator.

I had my sleep study overnight at a hospital. The hospital room looked like a hotel room to encourage sleeping. I had wires attached to my scalp and a machine, a oxygen canula in my nostrils, ekg wires attached to my chest, and sensor probe wires attached to my legs to check for restless leg syndrome. I also had some type of belt around my abdomen and chest which tracks your Breathing. The room is also equipped with a camera, i was told to just monitor your sleeping positions. My insurance company also called me to ask if I was aware that the sleep study could be done in my home, I didnt know that, but I told them I still wanted to go the center and they said ok and they approved the hospital bill.

I just change my mind again, my 90 day supervised diet is over 11/17 and I'm going to see if i can have it done 11/21 during my thankgving break

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
