Would you get the band if you had a chance have a "do over"

Recommended Posts

I'm not trying to be rude but if all I could eat was mushy foods then I would be headed back to my dr. I'm 12 days post op and have to force myself to eat, but I wasn't a big eater before the band. What does the gastric sleeve do differently? I've been told you can't eat certain things with that too.

I personally love my band and after losing 126 lbs, I am thrilled with how it worked for me, but I know it is not for everyone...Had I been any heavier, I would have done the sleeve over the band but I never would have done Bypass!!!

I did go back to my doctor several times only to cry all the way back home. All I was doing was throwing up and not losing weight at that. He even suggested that we put a very slight fill to see what would happen. I went home only chocking on my saliva everytime I would try to lay down. Another visit I asked if they had some type of diet program that I could follow since I am apt to follow a diet then try to figure out what to eat. They didn't even have a diet program.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
