I went to a poker game last night and against better judgement drank coffee a lot later than I should have, so if you are wondering why I am posting this at 2:30 on Sunday morning it's because I have a caffeine buzz going and can't sleep. Here are the results for week four of the Harvest Moon Challenge. Good luck everyone in the final week.

Thanks Larry, it looks great! I hope you were able to sleep in today after your late night.

Are you willing to do our October stats? You can name the challenge. ; )

Sure, and since it is October we have to do a "Very Scary Halloween Challenge". Unfortunately I still didn't get enough sleep last night either. Had tickets to see Johnny Rivers last night so we didn't get home until almost midnight and was still wound up and didn't get to sleep until about 1:30 AM so my butt is dragging at work today.

Thanks for agreeing to do the stats for "The Very Scary Halloween Challenge"! Sounds like you had a fun weekend but just need a bit more sleep, lol. It's not like when we were in our 20's and lack of sleep was a regular occurance!

Yep I felt like I was trying to relive my younger days this weekend. I has been a long time since I went to a rock concert, usually tend to attend more folk type shows. The funny thing was that I would guess that the average age of the audience was in their 50's. Of course Johnny Rivers is almost 70. It's sort of funny seeing your icons growing old.

My husband and son love folk music. My husband plays the dulcimer for fun. Hey, get some sleep tonight!

I have one of those two. Never learned to play it when I figured out that I was missing one of the most important items for playing a lap dulcimer. That would be a lap. Maybe I will revisit it now.

That is something I finally have, a lap, after close to 4 years. My 15 yo daughter seems to really like it as she now sits on my lap a lot.

I know how you feel. I have never been able to hold any of my grandchildren on my non existent lap, but I have another on the way.

My husband says it's very easy to play. He plays by ear and reads tableture? Now that you have a lap, you should make this a new goal for yourself! Maybe your October goal? Maybe for October we should each share something we can now do, or do more comfortably or do without embarrassement since losing some weight?

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
