Felt a "pop" and there is mild pain

Recommended Posts

Hey, I'm 7 days post-op and yesterday I bent over to pick something up off the ground and felt a sort of pop with some pain. Since then I've had mild pain where it happened (port area) and about 2 inches below my big scar I have a little discoloration. The discoloration is very small and doesn't look like anything i can really describe except that it is also mild. Do you think i popped a stitch holding my band in place? Should I be worried? It hurts more when I'm walking and i feel like i want to hold my stomach in place so that it doesn't move.

Thanks,

karyn

Oh dear, I think it might have been a stitch holding the port not the band itself. I felt this the other day while doing crunches at the gym but the soreness only lasted a few hours. My appointment for another fill is monday so I won't have any advice til then! Seeing as you are only 1 week post op you should definatly make an appt with your surgeon to check it out. Good luck, and keep us posted!

After my first csection, I did the same thing, felt a pop and had burning pain in one spot forever it seemed. The doc said I most likely pulled on an internal stitch and that it would heal fine. It did, but damn it hurt for days! That's probably what you did!

I felt this Pop last night in the area around my port. It hurt for a second. Then I fell back asleep. I woke up this morning, a little sore in that area. I just had my staples out yesterday, so I called my surgeons office and the nurse said that woman have a round ligament or something like that that hangs on the port and what I felt was it popping lose. I feel fine today so maybe all well. She also said that when I lose more weight it will quit doing that.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
