106 pounds lost in a year!

Recommended Posts

Just posting a quick update...

A little over 17 months from surgery date and 9 POUNDS TO GOAL! And it seems to be going very slow. However, I didn't gain over the holidays, so that is a plus! It's still falling off, but falling off slowly. Definitely thought I'd be at goal right now, but considering where I started, you will hear no complaints from me!

Still love my band and I'm still running. 3-5 miles a day, plan on doing my first half marathon this year!

It went awesome. I'm putting a link to my surgery thread below. Everything is healed up and WONDERFUL! My scars are not bad and I would absolutely do it all over again!

  • Wow!! What an inspiration you are!! You brought tears to my eyes. I am in the process of waiting for an approval...Everything has been submitted and the wait is killing me! I am trying to remain as positive as I can but, its so hard.

great post!!!! i don't think people fully realize it when writing ones like this but lots and lots of us read it and benefit from your words - even if the majority don't comment. I wish you all the best on those last 15-20 i hear those are the hardest - but you will do it!!!biggrin.gif

I think Allison pretty much sums it up for me. It's inspirational stories like these that motivate me and give me some drive. Thanks for sharing.....

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
