Can you tell me what size you wear??

Recommended Posts

I hope you don't find me rude, and I apologize if you do. I am asking because i just do not have any clue what size I would wear!

I am 203 lbs, 44DD chest 5'4" tall. My weight is mostly in my belly and chest and my legs are not heavy at all.

It is really tough for me to get out and just go try on clothing. I still am very shy about doing that. If I was to order clothes online, what size do you think I would be? 1X-2X? 18-20-22???

I realize all clothing runs differently and I know I have to try things on, but I was wondering what your experiences have been.

I used to be a 3X and easily a 26-28. I know I can wear a 2X, but wondering if a 1x is pushing it.

Again, I am sorry if you think I am being forward, but I just need some help!

Thanks!

It's not rude at all. It's something you need to know. At 203 lbs I was about a 14 or 16 but I'm 5'9" so you can't really go by that. If you want to order clothes online, you should probably take your measurements. Most online stores have a size chart. Good job on your success. Keep it up!

On march 23rd 2011 I weighed 317..wore 44DD..size 26-28 pants..3-4X shirts..size 11 shoes..and was 5'6....

as of today..July 24th 2011 I weigh 259..40DD..size 18-20 pants..x-large..1X shirt..10 1/2 shoes..

Most of my weight was in my belly also (3 kids 1 C-section) It just depends on how your body type is on the size of clothing..i have not been in a 18-20 pants in over 16 years..You should really try to order a few different sizes online and see what size feels right on you, but that does get hard also considering all clothing sizes can be different..

For me,,, that's a hard one..

Your legs are not big so go see what size pants fit you, then the same with tops.

I was 356 at one time I weigh 262 until weighed tomorrow, All of my Capri's are

tie up so they are big, but still getting by in 22's. I need to break out some size

20 Jeans and see if they fit yet. So I don't know either. That's why I say, you really

need to go and try some cloths on, and get a idea.

I know I will for fall cloths. For now I will live in my Capri's

Good Luck, Shirley

I use to be 42DDD, size 16, sometimes 14, and weigh about 200lbs, 5'2 and most of my wt. Was chest, belly and small legs and shoulders. I would go with a XL top or X1, and buy 16 in bottoms. I had breast reduction 2 yrs ago and went down to a 38 D and now wearing a loose size 14. Wt. 180 now since my LB 8 wks ago. I am wearing mostly sundresses this summer. I bought a size medium and it helps with pressure on my port site and I can wear them anywhere.

I agree with Spoiltmom. But, you really need to try on before ordering anything. Sizes are so different, depending on where you buy. I think that I was in woman's sizes and 1x for quite awhile.

Wow, thanks so much for your help! I was thining a 2x for on top, definitely for the chest area. But still confused for the bottoms. I guess I just really have to get my measurements and go from there.

I really should just venture out and try clothes on. I just really hate that!! And it is so hard to focus since I have my 4 year old son with me, and it's difficult to focus and keep an eye on him.

Thanks so much!

Hello there,

I am about 5'4" and weight 207 pounds, down from 220. I am now a 1x. I wear a 40DD, so you might need a 2x in the top. But sounds like you need a 16w in pants.

I know it's hard to focus on you with a little one, but I think you deserve to go out and have a little fun shopping. You should take this chance to Celebrate your weight loss and all you have accomplished. Lane Bryant, Ashley Stewart, Lord and Taylor and Macy's all have nice things that will flatter your figure. So go shop!

You'll feel better and look better and get a chance to revel in the the success that your hard work has won.

Cheers,

Amanda

I say measure yourself and go by what the sizing chart says online. Make sure you give yourself a couple of inches allowance with tops and pants so they aren't skin tight!

You can always go shopping and trying on clothes in the evening. If you have a hubby... let him watch the baby one night after dinner and go try on a few things. :)

I am 5'4" wt 240. I wear 18/20 pants and xl-1x tops. Most of my weight is in the middle (tummy, fanny) so you might realize you can fit into smaller sizes than you think! Good Luck! I am looking forward to hitting the 200 mark.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
