I have not problem with anything I'm eating. I am watching what I eat, but I can eat a good cup to cup 1/2 of anything I eat at one sitting. Is this normal? The scales are moving in the wrong direction and I'm only 3-weeks post-op!!

What are you eating when you eat? Is it Protein rich or food that you ate before your surgery? Also, you should be taking about a half hour to eat 1/2 - 1 cup of food. Even if it is mushy, dont gobble. Take a bite, put down your fork or spoon, wait 30 seconds to a minute, and repeat. Don't drink with your meals, 1/2 before or after your meals. You will find the time between meals will be longer and you will be more satisfied.

You have to make yourself stop. At three weeks out, I was only allowed 1/4 cup of mushies three times a day plus one Protein Shake. Don't push it!

At 3 weeks I was not measuring by cup but by weight. So 3 oz of whatever mushie.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
