Okay LADIES I need help please.....

Recommended Posts

I started out a D cup. Well lately my boobs are shrinking and my D cup is too big. So I bought some C cups, Granted I bought push up bras so maybe that's the issue but, my D bras were push ups also.

Anyway, My C cups seem too small or something. My boobs end up pushed up over the edge of the cup so when I put my shirt on I get that 4 boob look going on.

How do I find a bra that fits right? What size/brand should I try?

Have you been professionally fitted lately? Maybe you need a different brand of bra, as sometimes they all fit a little differently. Also try a D and C cup that isn't a push up and see how that fits. I know most major department stores like Macy's and Dillard's have people that can fit you, so does Soma and Victoria's Secret...I've noticed though that when I buy a VS bra, their sizes are different fitting than other stores. Also look for a Playtex/Bali/Hanes store near you; they are great at fitting you. A third option is to go get fitted at a specialty lingere store, where their bras are better quality with a higher price tag.

Good luck and let us know if you find a winner!!!

OMG! You read my mind. I went bra shopping this morning and cup sizes were all over the map. I decided that I will go to Dillards or Nordstrom and be professionally fitted when I loose a little more. Until then............sports bras are my new thing!

Did you just change the cup size or the band size too? If you don't have a store that will do the fit for you, you can find a web site to explain how to meausre yourself. It takes the fullest point around the breast and the band. The difference is how the cup is determined.

Well I just measured my chest and it's a 32. My bras are 36 and 38. Maybe I should start with a smaller band size. LOL

When do bra sizes get so complicated?

I would go get fitted! That is crazy that you measure 32 and you were wearing a 36 or 38! That's the first problem! ha!

  1. Measure your chest just below your breasts and add 5 inches. If that give you an odd number round up.
  2. Measure the largest part of your breasts, usually around the nipple. If you are saggy do this wearing your best fitting bra.
  3. Subtract your band measurement from your bust measurement to get your cup size.

  • 1 inch = A
  • 2 inches = B
  • 3 inches = C
  • 4 inches = D
  • 5 inches = DD

So if your band measures 33 (+5) and your breasts measure 41 that makes you a 38C. That's your starting point. Different bras are made differently so you need to try them on and may have to tweek a little. I find that Fashion Bug bras fit me perfectly....but that's me and may not be you. Good luck!

Sounds like you need a proper bra fitting. The way cup sizes/band sizes work is like this: 36D=38C. Sounds like you can go down a cup size or band size, but not both. My bra size, prior to starting weight loss for surgery, was 40DDD. My cups are definitely to large on that bra now! I am wearing one of my old 38DDD bras and it seems to fit properly now. As said by the other ladies, it might be time to bite the bullet and be prepared to lay out some significant cash for a well-made, properly fitted bra. I believe Nordstrom is a good bet due to the half-yearly sale. I wear Chantelle bras, runs from 50-90 bucks each.

Sounds corny, but has anyone tried the "Genie Bra" that is on an info commercial? Because of my changing size, I decided to try them. Very comfortable and a lot of support. They are sort of like sports bras that don't bind or pull you in. They aren't beautiful but they don't bunch my fat up either. They are stretchy so they work as I shrink. (I have no vested interest in them LOL). When I reach my goal, I will invest in some good expensive bras but not until then. The price is fairly reasonable.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
