Moving on to regular foods....

Recommended Posts

I'm loving my band, but at the same time I think it is making me feel crazy. I can move to regular foods this week and I almost feel guilty eating. I can tell I am getting hungry, but it's like I feel sooooo guilty for eating even healthy meals. I ate some ice cream the other night and worried about it for a couple of days.

I have stopped losing since I have incorporated "regular" foods into my diet. I am eating less than 1000 calories a day, so it's not like I'm "pigging" out. I am sure this is normal, but it bothers me. Did anyone else feel this way or am I truly crazy?

Another thing is that I just can't get motivated to workout! I don't know what my deal is.....I have always been one to walk and be active!

It's not just you!!! You might be crazy, but then again, I might be too!!! :)

I am in the same boat you are, but I am still on mushies. Haven't lost anything and trying not to gain back what little I've lost since surgery....I know we aren't supposed to be worried about losing right after but dang it, I was getting this close to onederland!!!

When I log my foods into myfitnessplan.com, it tells me constantly that I am under my calories for the day and not eating enough even though I am aiming for 1000.

Hang in there!!!! It can only get better, right??? biggrin.gif

I have the same problem. I feel terribly guilty for eating anything. Even an apple can make me hate myself. I am in therapy for these issues and it's still a major struggle but I am working on it.

I exercise with a trainer twice a week and run three miles the other five days and still I am eating less than 700 calories a day.

I was recently tested for Vitamin deficiency and prealbumin (an indicator for malnutrition). I am Vitamin A deficient and borderline malnourished. My vision is being affected by the Vitamin A issue so I have to get it under control.

Be really mindful of how you nourish yourself with your band. Take your Vitamins every day without fail and try to eat for health, not for hunger. My nutritionist keeps telling me to think of food as a medicine. My therapist keeps telling me to listen to my body. After being overweight my whole life, this is all new.

This makes me feel a lot better. I have also been slacking on my Vitamins, so I have to get better about that. I know how important they are. I appreciate the feedback. I never thought of all people that I would have a problem wanting to eat! Weird how things change, but starting today I am getting on the right track to eating more!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
