Recommended Posts

went in for my third fill today and I ratted myself out. Then she proceeded to chew me out. Its way to early for me to be going off the deel end and im gonna gain all the weight back that I lost. Omg, I should of kept my mouth shut and just had them beleive it was a platuea. I only gained like .75 lbs in the last two weeks. I didnt go totally if the deep end.

I know I what I have been doing and I know what I need to do to fix it. Sha just had to ram it down my throat for good measure :)

I'm sorry that she reemed you out. You need to remember that she had probably heard some really outrageous stories and is more of a tough love kind of person. I've read stories on this board where people are eating a whole big mac or a nuggets and fries

two days after surgery. If you did'nt say what you ate she is probably thinking the worst.

I think you were brave to fess up, that shows a lot of courage, and to me it shows that you care, and that you want the best answer possible for yourself. I admire that you did that. Sorry you got reemed out about it though... best of luck in the future!

I've told on myself and my doctor just talks to me and steers me back in the right direction. He knows we all do it and this is a life changing experience and we are going to make mistakes and he wants all his patients to do good and scolding them isn't going to help. We learn from our mistakes and try not to do them again!

Hm. I think I would be pretty upset if someone in my doctor's practice felt he or she had the right to scold me. If I go in having had problems, I want support, not fussing. I'm not a child; I don't need to be reprimanded--but I DO need to be able to discuss any difficulties with my healthcare providers without fear of repercussions.

Was the woman who did this your surgeon? A nurse? How did it make you feel? Is it something you want to discuss with the person who did it? From those of us on the list, do you want sympathy or would you like suggestions for how to deal with it in the future?

I'm asking all of these questions because if you're just venting, I know it could be irritating to get advice on how to "fix" the issue. On the other hand, if you want potential responses to her behavior, I know it could be irritating to get nothing but sympathy! If you want sympathy, you definitely have it--that's a crappy thing to have to endure!!!! If you also want advice, let us know! We're here to support you!

I was already going in there knowing I was not doing what I was suppose to be doing, so I really didnt need to hear more of it. I know she was just trying to help me get on track, but I did feel about 5years old and getting scolded for eating my desert before my dinner :)

She is the main nurse that does the fills, but it would be no good to tell on her because I know the surgeon and he would do the same thing to me. Tough love type thing!

thanks for listening :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
