All of these "survival tips" for the early post-op phase is so helpful... taking notes as I've gotten approved for a referral yesterday by my primary dr. Excited/nervous/anxious/and a little scared all at once but looking forward to this journey to better me.

I'm 4 days post op, and decided today to switch to "full liquids". The Clear Liquids only was really getting old fast, and when I accidentally ate a blueberry yesterday morning packing my son's lunch it went down well. So I had a Protein Shake for breakfast and added sugar free Creamer to my coffee. So far so good. My first post-op appointment with the surgeon isn't until next Thursday, and I expect I'll be doing soft foods by then too.

i was put on full liquids right away - but i didn't feel hungry until about day 8 or 9 - i made some yummy potato leek Soup - just pureed it all up and add Protein at each serving - it was yummy - also made cold cucumber soup and my daughter made me vege soup - again pureeing the veges - i add protein and it tastes wonderful - i also made this yummy vanilla egg custard and had that for Breakfast most mornings - good book is Before and After - i found it on bariatriceating.com - actually got it in a sample kit i ordered - custard recepie in it - and potato soup (i just substituded leeks for the onions) later i made weight watchers broccoli cheddar soup - very satisifying ... i start mushies tomorrow - i've been wanting a scrambled egg mmmm

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
