Can you make shakes ahead of time?

Recommended Posts

For Breakfast, I like to make a shake from sugar free CIB, Peanut Butter and a banana. Can I make it the night before and keep it in the fridge? It gets tough in the mornings lately, and I want to try and save a little time.

Any suggestions??

My understanding is that the nutrients in the shake break down after they've been sitting for a while, so I wouldn't suggest it. How about putting the Peanut Butter and banana in one container and the Protein and liquid in another and leaving it in the fridge, so you just need to mix and go when you get up?

I guess maybe I could make the milk, PB and banana the night before and add the CIB in the morning. That seems pretty easy. Could I do that?? I have one on those shaker bottles to use and drink right out of.

Thanks!

Time, I have the Ninja that I use and love! It is super easy, but I like to wash it right away, being that it has such a sharp blade and don't want it left in the sink. Hence which is why I'd prefer to prepare it at night to cut down on time in the morning.

Sure, that would work! I don't know if the banana portion of the liquids will brown if you leave it in the fridge overnight, but it won't hurt it at all. Definitely worth a shot.

My wife has been making mine at night , for my Breakfast and lunch the next day , since I started in January , they say you lose something from making them early , but yet to see how much or if anything , no where on the label it says drink right away

Read the package of your Protein mix. Mine says the active cultures die after 10 minutes. So, mixing then and leaving them makes THAT part of them useless. But it depends on the ingredients and what you are trying to get out of the mix.

For me, I desperately need the Probiotics, so I don't want to drink them once dead. maybe for you, it doesn't matter.

You can make Protein Shakes ahead of time. Protein doesn't "die" off or anything. You can freeze protein, bake with it..anything. The amino acids are still there and can be digested :)

FYI Premier brand ready to drink Protein is pretty good. I have one everyday prework out since I have a long time between lunch and dinner (swim after work). Available at costco.< /p>

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
