Two Year Weight History

Recommended Posts

I am stressing because I just go my two year weight history. My BMI in 2009 was only 34.5. I am now diabetic (about 1 year) and BMI of 36.7 but Aetna is pretty picky about their requirements. I have quit smoking and I am comitted to this process but I won't know if I am approved until I finish the program at the end of July. I am scared I am going through all this and will get denied by Aetna.

Well at least they didn't require a 5 year weight history as my insurance did, United Health Care. They consider other things though--other co-morbidities and the diabetes will help. Don't despair. Things will work out for you, just have a little faith.

I would definitly press the issue withyour insurance company. The BMI may be a little low but you have diabetes and a higher BMI now. Your weight has gone up which caused the diabetes. Now, they will need to send you diabetic supplies and more doctor visits in addition a bunch of other appointments if your diabetes gets worse. I would make sure they understand those points before they deny you. I hope it works out, Good Luck!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
