My name is Micah. I was banded on May 19th. My surgeon was Dr. Jay in Plano. He is amazing and his staff was as well. I am now 3 weeks post opp and am having some serious doubts. I eat what i should with a few things i shouldn't but i am trying. I have three kids 5,2 and9 months. I have two step children 11 and 9. So needless to say i stay busy. I am hoping an praying i lose the weight i need to and can keep it off. I am a little dicouraged at the moment though. I can't sleep because ia m terrified i am going to mess up my band or i already have.

does anyone else have this fear as well. I just need some support.

Thanks,mhester

Micah (I've never heard of a female named Micah),

Don't be discouraged. Many - if not most- of us have broken a few of the rules. We all have bad habits that have contributed to our overweight condition, and they don't just magicaly disappear because we've had surgery. The more you can follow the rules the better you'll do in the long run though. So forgive yourself and move on. I can't tell you how many times I've "restarted" with a new committment saying "I'm gonna focus on eating healthier and exercise every single day." And amazingly... the weight loss gets going again.

Good luck and stay on this board. Don't let the bullies discourage you, and ultimately make sure you're following your doctor's guidelines.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
